SureCrete’s SureGrip is a premium grade Non-slip additive for interior and exterior sealers or coatings. Sure Grip consistently outperforms other slip resistant additives in durability, due to its inherent crush resistance. The almost spherical shape of Sure Grip will also impart a smoother “feel” than most other slip resistant additives. Low density and insolubility characteristics reduce or eliminate settling when blending into all of SureCrete’s sealers. SureGrip is available in both sealer additive and hand-broadcast formulations.

Sure Grip Additive is available in two different particle sizes, medium and fine. Heavy-Duty = 840 microns or 20 mesh. Regular = 300 microns or 50 mesh. SureGrip Broadcast: Customarily broadcast between coats of sealer on a deck surface. It’s particulate density, which creates a superior slip resistant surface, does not allow for suspension in sealers.

SureGrip Additive & HD Additive: Ordinarily is mixed into the sealer and applied normally with no additional steps required. Some contractors elect to broadcast it between coats of sealer on a deck surface. Re-mix sealer every 10 to 15 minutes to keep additive suspended in sealer.

Coefficient of Friction

Creating a slip resistant surface when applying sealers to cementitious products will have a host of variables, to name a few: application method, film build, substrate profile, sur-face contamination, shoe sole composition, slope, dust, dirt, etc. Two recognized national agencies have issued directives on minimum coefficient of friction, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Department of Justice through the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). ADA is the most stringent of the two. ADA directs that accessible walkways have a minimum
coefficient of friction of 0.6. Ramps have been directed to be 0.8.
